About the Author
Marion Mutala has a master's degree in education administration and taught for 30 years. With a mad passion for the arts she loves to write, sing, folkdance, play guitar, garden, travel, and read. Marion's teaching and life experiences help her develop unique stories and songs, and her poetry has appeared in print as well.
"Baba's Babushka: A Magical Ukrainian Christmas" is her first book and her poetry has appeared in print as well.
She is available to do readings of her poetry, her book or sing. She started a group called,"The Sassy Sisters" with her 2 sisters and they entertain many elderly in nursing homes. Their goal is to play at all the nursing homes and community events in Saskatoon.
About the Illustrators
Wendy Siemens illustrated the first two books in the trilogy. Wendy is a professional artist and art instructor with degrees in art and education from the University of Saskatchewan. Painting and drawing are her specialties, but she also works photography, printmaking and clay sculpture. www.wendysiemens.ca.
Amber Rees illustrated the third book in the series: Baba's Babushka - A Magical Ukrainian Wedding. Amber has worked in film as a classical and stopmotion animator, sculptor and puppet fabricator. A versatile artist, Amber also enjoys working with watercolour, sculpture and mixed media.
